Ep 46 – Song 6: “It Sucks That Han Solo is Dead” by The Emblem Faction

“We’re a progressive metal band based out of Des Moines, Iowa.”
– from their Facebook page

“Fans of progressive metal out in the Midwest have some great local music be excited for. Hailing from Des Moines, Iowa, The Emblem Faction is a an aggressive five-piece that takes inspiration from the likes of Veil of Maya, Intervals, ERRA, After The Burial, and Monuments. They recently released their first EP, entitled Timescapes, carrying with it a handful of groove-laden anger-fueled music. Today we bring you “Stampede”, the lead track off their aforementioned EP – exclusively through ItDjentsTV.

“Clocking in at just over two and a half minutes, the track wastes no time in getting into the thick of it. A powerful rhythm and crushing vocals greet the listener, rarely letting up over the courses of it’s short runtime. The vocals are harsh yet powerful; the drum patterns varied and consistent. You won’t find any clean vocals here, nor any melodic guitar work, but there is a lot here to like if you prefer gritty and uncompromising metal. If you need a good kick-start to your day, or just want something heavy to bang your head to, then The Emblem Faction have you covered!”
